Ravi Varadachari
Global Head, RiskTech
Ravi is the Global Head of RiskTech with over eighteen years of experience in the financial services industry with specialization in the areas of credit risk, operational risk and Basel II. Ravi has consulted with leading banks in North America, Europe and Asia in the areas of risk management, Basel II and worked in developing models for counter-party risk, economic capital & stress testing.

Prior to RiskTech, Ravi was heading the risk management practice at Oracle Financial Services for North America. Prior to Oracle, Ravi has worked with an associate of Moody’s Investor Services where he was heading the ratings division for banks /financial institutions and with Cazenove (now J P Morgan Cazenove) where he was an equity analyst for banks/financial institutions.

Ravi received an M. Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay and FRM from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). He gets invited to speak on topics of risk, regulation and governance at various industry and regulatory forums sponsored by organizations like GARP, PRMIA, RMA and other international bodies. He has authored several white papers, research reports and articles on banking, financial risk management and Basel II.
 
Mr. Shankar Vemban
Executive Vice President & Global Head - BFSI Vertical

Shankar heads the global BFSI business at Hexaware.

Shankar has over 26 years of IT experience in general management and strategic consulting in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance domains, with hands-on experience in technology projects in retail and wholesale banking, investment banking, portfolio/fund accounting, and life insurance policy administration.

His career includes Senior Management positions in large organizations like HSBC and entrepreneurship. He has managed business units with revenue and bottom-line responsibilities, as well as provided strategic consulting to clients in these verticals. He is very experienced with outsourcing and offshore engagement models and has been responsible for several large and successful engagements.

Shankar holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IIM, Bangalore and a Bachelors in Engineering from College of Engineering, Pune, India.

Shankar is based out of Hexaware's office in New Jersey.
